Neuropsychological Evaluations
Are you or someone you care about facing problems with thinking, memory, or behavior? The Kane County Health Department, along with our partners, offers free neuropsychological evaluations for Kane County residents aged three and older who have or qualify for Medicare or Medicaid, or meet 200% of the Federal Poverty Level guidelines based on income and family size.
A neuropsychological evaluation provides a necessary diagnosis to help individuals access critical support services, accommodations, and assistance.
Why Get a Neuropsychological Evaluation?
- To assist in obtaining an IEP or 504 plan: Identifies learning disabilities and helps parents request tailored support in school.
- To qualify for workplace accommodations: Documents challenges and supports adjustments under the ADA, like flexible schedules or assistive tools.
