Project Safe Aurora

In accordance with the Reimagine Public Safety Act and in unity with our partners, we envision an Aurora where every individual is empowered, supported, and thrives in peace and safety; a community so resilient and unified that the thought of turning to gun violence fades away, making Aurora a beacon of a violence-free future.

Our mission is to foster awareness of gun violence, build bridges within the community, and advocate for systemic changes that protect and uplift every resident of Aurora to reduce gun violence. Through research, community collaboration, and innovative approaches, we strive for an environment where safety and health are intertwined.

Community members are invited to our monthly meetings. For more information, please email Elizabeth Nunez at: nunezelizabeth@kanecountyil.gov
