Fox Valley Hands of Hope

We provide compassionate guidance and support for the grieving.

Fox Valley Hands of Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing expert support for children, families, and adults who are experiencing grief due to a death loss.  We offer individual grief counseling, as well as drop-in groups, support groups, school programs, and special-interest programs throughout the year, at no cost to our clients.

Hopeful Beginnings

In person and Telehealth maternal mental health services for women experiencing postpartum depression/anxiety, grief and loss of a pregnancy, or difficulty transitioning to motherhood.  Case management and access to baby essentials such as formula, diapers, clothing, wipes.  Unbiased options counseling for unplanned pregnancies.  Adoption services for women wanting to place baby for adoption or families seeking to adopt child/children. ​​

Kane County Coroner's Office Overdose Bereavement Support Group

8-week therapy group for individuals who have lost a loved one to overdose death. The groups are aimed at processing grief, increasing support, and helping individuals build healthy coping skills as they work through their loss. The group is not a drop-in group and is structured to be completed with cohorts of no more than 8. All individuals starting the group together will end the group together, which keeps the dynamic of the group constant throughout and allows individuals to build comfortability and support with others in the group.
